About Wildwood Collective

Wildwood Homeschool Collective is a Christian learning community designed to help you nurture your child's mind, body, and spirit. Our homeschool collective offers a low-cost weekly co-op and an outdoor, all-weather adventure group (coming soon). We follow the Charlotte Mason philosophy of education and we are committed to discipling our children and helping them grow into capable, kind, courageous, and resilient children. Collectively, we offer a feast of ideas, activities, academics, and outdoor skills training to help our children form relationships with God, self, community, and creation.

Goals and Objectives:

Wildwood is a volunteer ministry to local homeschool families. Our main objectives are:

  • To proclaim the gospel to and through our children.

  • To provide a financially accessible homeschool community.

  • To provide a connection with and knowledge of the natural world.

  • To encourage critical thinking, communication, and collaborative solution-building skills.

  • To provide a setting where students have the benefit of peer and teacher learning.

  • To prioritize subjects conducive to group dynamics.

Philosophy of Education:

Wildwood Homeschool Collective, though heavily influenced by Charlotte Mason and her ideas, does not require you to adhere to following her methods in your own homeschool. Our philosophy of education will have direct implications on our methods. We believe Charlotte Mason’s philosophies and methods fulfill a holistic view of what a person is and why they learn. To learn more about our Philosophy of Education, click here.

Statement of Faith:

Our Statement of Faith reflects only the fundamental beliefs of Christianity. For theology beyond what is reflected here, we direct our participants to their own churches’ statements of faith and to the Bible. We are also happy to dialogue about any questions parents might have. Families are welcomed to our community who hold to traditional Christian orthodoxy, submit to the Bible as the inerrant, in the original manuscripts, and authoritative Word of God, and agree with each of these statements of faith:

  1. Nicene Creed

  2. Apostles Creed
